WHAT ARE SOFT SKILLS

Soft skills are so called behavioral competencies or interpersonal skills, also called people skills. By developing them, we develop our EQ (Emotional Intelligence) and become better at face-to-face communication and achieve considerably higher efficiency in what we want to accomplish?

They are normally not taught in schools and universities unless you specifically decide to study a subject closely connected with soft skills.

This is why soft skills build up a personality, not a CV. They help us in both, private and business life to establish healthy, open and clear relationships with other people.

Soft skills can be broadly divided into Self managing and People skills. Self managing skills have to do with self-awareness, emotion management, self-confidence, stress management, persistence, patience and similar. People skills are communication, presentation, facilitating skills, as well as management and leadership skills, assertiveness, mentoring/coaching skills, interpersonal relationship skills and similar.
